His face is like, why are you laughing? this is serious shit!

240

u/Alxuz1654 Sep 22 '22

You're laughing. I pulled off the heist of the centuary and you're laughing!

92

u/Sweetgirl_j Sep 22 '22

😂 this kid is staying on task.

43

u/WrongStatus Sep 22 '22

Came here to say something like this.

"The fuq you taking pictures for?! Didn't you hear me??!! I have popcicles...for both of us!"

15

u/KING_JELLYB3AN Sep 22 '22

Because now he can blackmail his nephew when the time comes he needs another popsicle.

536

u/AddictedToMosh161 Sep 21 '22

Nice one Comrade Nephew.

u/Stained-Bleach Sep 21 '22

He's got a plan and he's serious about it.

11

u/No-Cup-6279 Sep 22 '22

By the looks of it, he's got many plans ahead too. Always one step ahead. A true planner.

261

u/timecamper Sep 21 '22

Popsicle is a junk? If sugar is the concern, you should try making your own popsicles with fresh juice. They save me during summer.

45

u/plainfully_oblivious Sep 21 '22

And/or crushed fresh fruit

6

u/Awkward_Chain_7839 Sep 22 '22

Coconut milk mixed with pineapple juice and chopped pineapple is delicious.

3

u/unseeliefae_ Sep 22 '22

In Samoa there’s a drink called Vaifala that’s coconut milk and pineapple. I never had the idea to make it into popsicles until your comment. It’s going to be so good!! 💕🤤

-5

u/0najimi Sep 22 '22

or milk 😈

4

u/ATOMVIDSYT Sep 22 '22

Wrong place, wrong time.

1

u/0najimi Sep 22 '22

milk popsicles underrated

118

u/OkPlantain6773 Sep 21 '22

If she doesn't want the kid eating Popsicles, then don't have any Popsicles in the house. Works for me.

8

u/AnotherInfraGuy Sep 22 '22

If she’s anything like my sister-in-law, it’s because her greedy selfish arse wants the joys of popsicles and the likes but my niece’s and nephews aren’t allowed!

18

u/dazechong Sep 22 '22

If you're super lazy like me, just freeze bananas. They taste like creamy popsicles frozen.

5

u/SnooDonuts4776 Sep 22 '22

Wait, really? Imma try that.

10

u/dazechong Sep 22 '22

Also a really good way to keep bananas from spoiling.

You can even use them to make smoothies!

Just remember to peel the skin off first. XD

3

u/JonnoZa Sep 22 '22

If you put frozen bananas in a blender, you get banana ice-cream. No other ingredients needed.

1

u/dazechong Sep 23 '22

I am definitely going to try that at home now.

6

u/bobbi_joy Sep 22 '22

There’s always money in the banana stand.

3

u/danirojasandroykent Sep 22 '22

George Michael burned it down.

6

u/Muffin278 Sep 22 '22

juice still has a lot of sugar and not a lot of nutrients. We would make popsicles out of fruit yoghurt, it has a nice texture and while there still is a lot of sugar, you get all the good things from the yoghurt.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

Lol juice is like all sugar

4

u/TackyBrad Sep 22 '22

Natural sugars are at least better than corn syrup

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

Not really. What makes fruit juice somewhat healthier than candy is the fibre and micronutrients, not the type of sugar

What makes corn syrup so bad for you is the fructose - the same primary sugar in fruit juice.

1

u/ShankbeatMihawk2 Sep 23 '22

plus mordern bananas are a domesticated fruit, bred to be bigger, seedless and with higher sugar content

people just need moderation and excercise

9

u/mackan072 Sep 22 '22

I mean, juice has similar sugar content to soda.

215

u/beardgoesbrr Sep 21 '22

As a parent... habitual deception will do far more damage than the garbage calories

As an uncle... NO RULES! MAYHEM AND MADNESS! DO ALL THE THINGS!

108

u/tyler081293 Sep 21 '22

As a teacher, it is my duty to educator students and show them how to be a model citizen.

As an uncle, it is my duty to make my siblings life as hard as hell by letting my neice and nephews do what they want when they are with me.

35

u/beardgoesbrr Sep 21 '22

A solemn duty and a privilege indeed

5

u/Busy_Weekend5169 Sep 22 '22

And don't forget ----+ buy them noisy toys!

14

u/way2rory Sep 22 '22

I absolutely love being an uncle. It’s the most fun thing I’ve ever been

4

u/EarthSauceYum Sep 22 '22

Letting a kid pull someone into a room to do something secret is absolutely a horrible precedent to set

37

u/Avalon336 Sep 21 '22

The one you definitely have to watch like crazy in high school!

63

u/Pink-Fluffy-Dragon Sep 21 '22

where did he get them from though? 🤔

58

u/OhioVsEverything Sep 21 '22

Many modern fridge units having the freezer in the bottom.

Easy access

25

u/Pink-Fluffy-Dragon Sep 22 '22

I meant more like why their house would have them if he's not allowed to 😅

18

u/OhioVsEverything Sep 22 '22

The kid doesn't live there alone. He's not doing the shopping. Not everything is for the kid.

11

u/Fedexpected Sep 22 '22

So it was initially for the parents but the kid found the stash

9

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

Yeah, but any parent who wants their kid to not eat junk should themselves not keep junk in the house and ideally not eat junk themselves

Otherwise they're making their job twice as hard for half the benefit

2

u/LonelyLoser24 Sep 22 '22

Yes! I got so skinny (not really but I did lose my belly) when my mum put me on a diet in primary school because I was a bit chubby and she just took the junk food out of the house and replaced it with good food like fruits and snacks that are low in Calories

3

u/Deep_Accident_4853 Sep 22 '22

Saying goes, practice what you preach. Lead by example. Monkey see monkey do.

All apply to kids.

1

u/OhioVsEverything Sep 22 '22

Or just learn how to raise children who listen.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

Or just learn how to spend your time more productively. Time wasted fucking around with popsicles is time that could be spent teaching them to read

10

u/z231z Sep 22 '22

Good point! If they are not in the house then they are not available to the kids. If the parent is not allowing her kids to eat junk but buys it for herself or friends then she is making a big mistake, right?

6

u/Pink-Fluffy-Dragon Sep 22 '22

Exactly, that'd be really unfair :( if she doesnt allow her kid to then she shouldn't either

6

u/__Spirit-Chan__ Sep 22 '22

It’s probably what my parents did and every once in a while they would get some type of ice cream or sweet treat and allow us to have it for desert(Now they don’t care, it was just when we were little)

7

u/10A_86 Sep 22 '22 edited Sep 22 '22

I have no idea if you're a parent or not so I am not going to make assumptions. But I can tell you from experience and the experience of many people as parents once you have a child nothing is ever yours.

Many of us are guilty of hiding a treat or two that just yours. Every meal you have, even if they have the exact same thing in their own meal, solo toilet time doesn't even exist. It doesn't mean kids are deprived or unloved any more than becoming a parent means you can't have something to yourself.

Parenthood is a unique equinox that is both beautiful and rewarding but still a shit show at times :) Especially teenage years 🤣🤣

1

u/TMZombies Sep 22 '22

Probably from the freezer

1

u/ISeeAPotato Sep 22 '22

Little dude's going far in life! 😁👍

7

u/thrnmanz Sep 22 '22

This is your ride or die dude for life!!!

2

u/LadyLu-ontheLake Sep 22 '22

I came here to say those words, exactly. I kid you not. Now I have goosebumps…

2

u/thrnmanz Sep 25 '22

Great minds

18

u/InformationSea6312 Sep 22 '22

When I was a kid my neighbor friends mom would not let him eat candy. We would ride our bikes to the local mini mart and buy shit tons of candy and gorge ourselves in the forest. Kids will find a way.

7

u/InternationalBand494 Sep 21 '22

Partners in crime

6

u/catsrule1-2-3 Sep 21 '22

A kid after my own heart.

6

u/Independent_Purple26 Sep 22 '22

It's the job of the cool aunt/uncle to allow this. I personally love the cool aunt tittle.

3

u/silly_vengeful_sloth Sep 21 '22

This kid will go far in life 🤣🤣👏👏👏

5

u/zephenthegreat Sep 21 '22

Hes got a big head from being so smart

4

u/z231z Sep 22 '22

It kind of looks like that is one of them there healthy popsickles, though. Deep color like that probably is a frozen juice sickle.

3

u/tiredashellalready Sep 22 '22

That kid nearly killed me with his diabetically sweet wholesomeness. I can tell he will have a wonderful and fulfilling future!

3

u/Anneemai Sep 22 '22

This made me smile and reminded me of an afternoon spent with my nephew, I think my sister has forgiven me! It had been raining all morning and I popped to the shop with my Monster ( he was 2 at the time now 27yrs and yes he is still my Monster :)) so as a good auntie I let him jump in all the puddles. He was soaked from his waist down had a fab time.

The problem was he had on his brand new trainers! Nice bright white ones, all clean and shiny...oops!

7

u/OhioVsEverything Sep 21 '22

That kid was placed in a Pet Cemetery. You've been warned.

2

u/KilGrey Sep 22 '22

I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees it!

2

u/mickeybar71 Sep 22 '22

Came here to say this, Gage has risen. *Pet Semetary

2

u/Princesshannon2002 Sep 21 '22

Little man has done the popsicle eating in the dark trick before!

2

u/Bambuskus505 Sep 22 '22

A professional con man in the making.

2

u/z231z Sep 22 '22

I saw this a while back and have the same reply here: If she doesn't want her son to eat junk then do not allow it in her house!! I mean, where did the kid get those popsickles?

2

u/ImTheSheep15 Sep 22 '22

That's the shit I be doing with my youngest brother and I will be doing with youngest sibling in general (when she gets old enough ofc)

2

u/Ok-Translator-2785 Sep 22 '22

You gotta do what ya gotta do.

2

u/theshiyal Sep 22 '22

Every time I see this I look at that little face and think “what a hero.”

2

u/Affectionate-Dream21 Sep 22 '22

Uncle better not narc! Snitches get big doe eyed guilt trips!

2

u/Top-Campaign4620 Sep 22 '22

Oh man independent rebellious spirit in this one. I see good things in his future if he can control himself

2

u/MrMasterMize Sep 22 '22

Homie for life

2

u/Unfair-Sell-5109 Sep 22 '22

This kid is going places. Look at that determined face

2

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

My heart 🥹

2

u/DarkGermanNoodle Sep 22 '22

What? ‘I’m not allowed to eat something bc my sister forbade me from doing so’?? Wtf is this shit? Imma eat a fucking popsicle if I want to! And the little one - as someone else already pointed out in the comments, just make a popsicle yourself using juice. Yeah, guess what? It has sugar in it too! Maybe not as much as industrial ones, idk tbh. But there’s still sugar. Even Salad has sugar

2

u/keefer3 Sep 22 '22

“Hey we’re having popsicles, and if you try to get mad at him, then you and me are gonna fight.”

2

u/anniearrow Sep 22 '22

Kids. 😂😂

2

u/ThanosWasRight161 Sep 22 '22

My boy does a derivative of this. He knows he can’t have cookies and such, so he’ll sneak two and “share” one with me and says “shhh for you too”. Very effective

2

u/UnbelievableTxn6969 Sep 22 '22

Ride or die wingmen don't come along that often.

2

u/Candid-Pin-8160 Sep 22 '22

So, kid risked his popsicle secret to help out and uncle/auntie just sold him out for internet points. Nice.

2

u/Saw-ss Sep 22 '22

And then you laughed and said “Okay now stay still I have to take a picture and tell people on the internet”

2

u/Peckerhead321 Sep 22 '22

Why was there popsicles in the house if he’s not allowed to eat them, his fat ass mom just wants them all

2

u/Inevitable-Collar-60 Sep 22 '22

If the child's image is you're nephew, then please blurr it. It may be unsafe for you're nephew as the internet is a messed up place

1

u/CrackedandPopped Sep 21 '22

That kid looks super sad for someone with two popsicles

-1

u/AceJohnny Sep 21 '22

That's the face of a kid who's afraid they're getting ratted out.

1

u/carolinezalogg Sep 21 '22

Aww he is sooooo adorable! But did you take the popsicle?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '22

Gary busey went all in for this role

1

u/DoubleTapzzzz Sep 22 '22

Lol - I was thinking a baby Dwight Schrute but I can see some Gary there too

1

u/artwarrior Sep 22 '22

First time I saw this I was reading Ender's Shadow and began to picture the character Bean as this kid.

1

u/Kkimp1955 Sep 22 '22

I love him!

1

u/That_Rotting_Corpse Sep 22 '22

Drug dealer in the making

1

u/Atrag2021 Sep 22 '22

Did his mum cut his hair like that as a punishment for the last time he ate a popsicle?

1

u/OkElderberry4333 Sep 22 '22

Aaaaw! his little face…. it’s a very serious business being sneaky.

1

u/AdahExtra Sep 22 '22

Did you eat the popsicle?

1

u/Pretty-Benefit-233 Sep 22 '22

How cute is this

1

u/Akuma262 Sep 22 '22

And then you took a picture of him and he just looked at you like "you fucking narc"

1

u/KingDread306 Sep 22 '22

So then where is he getting the popcicles?

1

u/BadBadderBadst Sep 22 '22

Next time try this:
"I'm not allowed to eat broccoli "

1

u/DBRespawned Sep 22 '22

Going straight for illegal drugs and embezzlement.

1

u/jwat4455 Sep 22 '22

Sneaky little shit.

1

u/Fantastic05 Sep 22 '22

You're going to want him on your side when the aliens invade.

1

u/OrneryMortgage6391 Sep 22 '22

Smart kid. 😄

1

u/JACKY_THE_JOKER Sep 22 '22

He is a king👑

1

u/ImploreUToReconsider Sep 22 '22

I can't place it, but there's a woman in Hollywood/movies who this kid looks exactly like.

1

u/novasupersport Sep 22 '22

Still the cutest post ever

1

u/Mr72er Sep 22 '22

And you snitched him for the whole world to see?

1

u/BrattyAshleyy Sep 22 '22

Omg I can’t. Kids are just the most fantastic people

1

u/freifickmuschimann Sep 22 '22

What a lil homie!!

1

u/guidedbylight27 Sep 22 '22

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the effect of prohibition.

1

u/nortonjb82 Sep 22 '22

You don't have a choice, you gotta commit to the popsicle now.

1

u/MBAPrepCoachcom Sep 22 '22

Little man giving you the hook up…

1

u/Dankalii Sep 22 '22

For once it's the nephew pulling the uncle into the bathroom for a secret no one should know.

1

u/THEerisLTU Sep 22 '22

Please tell me you didn't rat the little dude out

1

u/ItsDokk Sep 22 '22

Seriously, only a monster would commit such an atrocity.

1

u/joeleidner22 Sep 22 '22

He's a real one!

1

u/apfelgripsch Sep 22 '22

1

u/TheInsaneAdventurer Sep 22 '22

If she doesn't want him eating popsicles, why have them in the house?

1

u/NibblersNosh Sep 22 '22

Does he buy the popsicles himself, without his mom knowing?

1

u/developerworks777 Sep 22 '22

Reminds me of my husband’s nephew. We stayed at his parent’s with his brother and his family right after our wedding. Their 5 yo copies everything my husband does. My husband always calls me by my pet name (let’s say, Sweetheart). Each time when our nephew needs me, he calls me “sweetheart, can you get me a juice box?”. He prefers calling me sweetheart instead of aunt.

1

u/Spodson Sep 22 '22

Little man got your back.

1

u/milanpl Sep 22 '22

Wait how old is this post, I remember this one from what feels like a few years ago

1

u/TylerBenney Sep 22 '22

My man 🤝

1

u/H0td0gL4unch3r Sep 22 '22

Lil homies are the bestest!!!

1

u/BigAffectionate9676 Sep 22 '22

Well a fruit popsicle shouldn’t be considered junk food. It’s just frozen fruit juice and water. Even as in between meal snack it is not a lot of unwanted calories. Though if it was covered with chocolate, nuts and a caramel center…?

1

u/LifeInArgent Sep 22 '22

Little dude has solid bro instincts.

1

u/Anneemai Sep 22 '22

This made me smile and reminded me of an afternoon spent with my nephew, I think my sister has forgiven me! It had been raining all morning and I popped to the shop with my Monster ( he was 2 at the time now 27yrs and yes he is still my Monster :)) so as a good auntie I let him jump in all the puddles. 1

Lying to kids is best avoided

1

u/Old_Man_Bridge Sep 22 '22

“What are you doing in the bathroom with your nephew?…why’s the door locked?”

“I’m eating his popsicle.”

1

u/FunStuff446 Sep 22 '22

The best nephew!

1

u/jayjayanotherround Sep 22 '22 edited Sep 22 '22

I’d have had myself a popsicle

Trusts his auntie/uncle so much he lets her take a photo for evidence.

1

Then this bitch pulls out a camera...

1

u/Festortheinvestor Sep 22 '22

His face is like “why tf you taking photos”

1

The fucking love he has for you!!!!😭😭😭 I love it!!!

He means business too

O7 what a trooper

-4

u/TirayShell Sep 21 '22

Or... stop buying popsicles.

-2

u/liberatestitle7328 Sep 22 '22

Let em eat whatever he wants. We are all fucked anyway. Who cares?

-1

u/Baskets_GM Sep 22 '22

I would whisper back: “Listen carefully you little prick, sugar gives you diabetes and death and you force me into a room with no consent. Leave our family alone.”
